Set up your Stackchan
Plug the robot into this computer with a USB-C data cable (the port on its head), then press the button. The page installs the firmware and gives the robot the apps you approve.
This browser cannot talk to USB devices. Use Chrome or Edge on a computer (not a phone).
First, sign in
Your robot will belong to your account: only you can see and control it.
Sign in with GitHub or GoogleChrome asks which device to use: choose the one named USB JTAG/serial debug unit. Setting up takes about two minutes (four with the backup); keep this page in front meanwhile.

Open the appBackup of the original firmware
Keep this file: with it, the robot can go back to the firmware it had (Options, Firmware, "Restore an earlier firmware"). It also holds the robot's settings from before, such as Wi-Fi passwords, so keep it private.

Wi-Fi (optional)
Sent to the robot over the cable, never to the server. Without it, the robot opens its own hotspot and shows how to connect.

Get it on the computer your home manager runs on: open its setup page there
(e.g. http://localhost:8790/setup) and press Copy setup for another computer.
The chosen apps (those with a shared
robot token), their token and this computer's Wi-Fi, to paste into the setup page on another
computer. Keep it private.
